Serve

For even the Son of Man came not to be served, but to serve...

Mark 10:45

Jesus was the greatest servant to ever live on the earth.  He is King of all yet knelt down to wash the feet of the people who were following His leadership.  It is by serving that we begin to grow and understand our calling and purpose on the earth.

Volunteer FAQ

IS THERE A PLACE AT TPC FOR ME TO VOLUNTEER?

Absolutely! You don’t have to look very far to see that ministry opportunities abound, while people
resources are in short supply. God is calling this church to make an impact. It will take all of our
efforts together to fulfill this potential.

HOW DO I FIND OUT WHAT VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES ARE AVAILABLE?

Our primary goal is for each person to be serving in a way that fits their God-given strengths and spiritual gifts. With that mindset, we encourage you to look for serving roles that allow you to do just that. We do realize, though, that some people simply want to serve where there is the greatest need. We always have room for more volunteers in our Children's Ministry, as well as our Usher and Greeter teams.

WHY SHOULD I VOLUNTEER...DO YOU REALLY NEED ME?

Volunteers are the heartbeat of TPC. Every week it takes volunteers to make ministry happen, so YES...we need you! Serving allows you to be used by God to make a real difference in people’s lives - at TPC and Reaching the world for Christ, One person at a time.

WHAT IS EXPECTED OF ME AS A VOLUNTEER?

Expectations will vary from role to role, however you can rest assured there is a process in place to ensure that you are equipped and trained. Every role has a team leader whose responsibility is to set you up to win. The most important thing you can do is to show up and be ready to go when you say you will. Should you ever have any questions about what is expected of you be sure to talk with your team leader. Good, open communication is the best method to ensure the serving opportunity is a good fit for both you and the ministry.
